DNC Gives Florida Democratic Party Until January 5th to Respond to Cenk Uygur’s Implementation Challenge
The Democratic National Committee sent a formal letter to the Uygur Campaign on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 responding to the Implementation Challenge the campaign filed in Florida earlier in the week. The Implementation Challenge addresses the Florida Democratic Party Delegate Selection Plan with respect to the Party’s use of a nomination via the State Executive Committee to select a single candidate for the Presidential Preference Primary.
The letter from the DNC states that the Florida Democratic Party has 21 days to decide on Uygur’s challenge and extends the deadline to January 5th due to the upcoming federal holidays.
After due notice, the Uygur Campaign has the right to appeal to the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee within ten (10) days following the decision of the state Party.
